Infant Feeding Guidelines

The Infant Feeding Guidelines were developed by the National Health and Medical Research Council in 2012. These guidelines are aimed at health professionals and designed to assist with the provision of scientifically-based recommendations about the benefits of breastfeeding and guidelines for infant feeding.1 This guide encourages breastfeeding exclusively until six months of age and the introduction of solids around six months of age.
